Hi, I’m Danielle Williams, owner of TrueCount Services.

Bookkeeping wasn’t something I planned to build a business around, it found me. I started in corporate roles handling accounts payable, receivable, and payroll. I genuinely loved the work: getting every number right, making sure people got paid on time, and taking messy financial details off other people’s plates. When the company had to close its doors (right after my family moved to the Nashville area), I faced a new reality. My partner works away from home, and I have three kids who need me. So, I decided to turn what I’m naturally good at into a business that lets me work from home and still be present for my family.

That decision came from years of watching department managers feel completely overwhelmed by the financial side of their jobs. In my first administrative role, I started helping with expense tracking, vendor payments, inventory, and pricing — things that stressed them out but came easily to me. The more I took on, the more they could focus on what they actually loved. We all ended up happier and more effective. I’ve never forgotten that feeling.

Today, I get the same joy working with small business owners in Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and the Greater Nashville area. I love watching the tension leave their shoulders when they realize their books are finally organized, their employees and 1099 contractors will be paid correctly and on time, and their tax documents are handled without last-minute panic.
