Danielle
I’m Danielle Williams, owner and bookkeeper at TrueCount Services.
I spent more than three decades working in the restaurant industry, where I saw how closely sales, inventory, payroll, food costs, staffing, and daily operating decisions are connected. That experience shaped the way I approach bookkeeping today: the numbers make more sense when you understand the business activity behind them.
I also saw how easily important financial work can get pushed aside when an owner is managing employees, customers, vendors, and everything else the business demands. When bookkeeping becomes something you catch up on later, the owner loses the opportunity to use those numbers while they can still inform decisions.
That is what inspired me to start TrueCount Services.
Today, I provide personalized bookkeeping support to food & beverage businesses and other small businesses throughout Middle Tennessee, as well as remotely. My focus is not only on keeping the books accurate, but on creating consistent financial information that gives owners a clearer picture of their business.

How I Approach the Work
Accurate books are the starting point. Useful books are the goal.
I work directly with business owners to keep their books accurate, organized, and aligned with how their business actually operates. I look for consistency, clear financial information, and processes that help reduce surprises.
For food & beverage businesses especially, that means understanding how sales, deposits, merchant fees, delivery platforms, payroll, tips, inventory, and other moving pieces fit together, not treating each one as though it exists in isolation.

What Experience Taught Me
A busy business can still have an unclear financial picture.
Strong sales, a busy dining room, or money in the bank can make a business appear healthy on the surface. But those things do not tell the whole story. Rising costs, outstanding obligations, inconsistent processes, or shrinking margins can easily go unnoticed without reliable financial information. Good bookkeeping helps an owner see what is happening underneath the activity.

Why I Built TrueCount Differently
Business owners need more than someone who categorizes transactions.
I created TrueCount Services around direct communication, consistent processes, and an understanding of the business behind the books.
I do not believe bookkeeping should feel like sending information into a black box and waiting for reports to come back. You should know who is responsible for your books, how to reach me, what to expect, and that the person reviewing your financial activity understands enough about your business to recognize when something does not make sense.
